Mauricio Morillas, a 2012/2013 grant awardee of the prestigious Pollock-Krasner Foundation, was born in Mexico and now divides his time between Mexico City and New York. Mainly creating mixed media pieces and sculptures, Morillas works with both brilliant colors and earth shades while still keeping a sense of minimalism and contrasting texture.
